Lyrics To Live By!

Oh the smallest thing can all the difference, Love is alive, Don't listen to them when they say, You're just a fool, Just a fool, You believe you can change the world.

In The News, Toby Keith, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Gretchen Wilson and More

Toby Keith released his new album, American Ride, yesterday on his own label, Show Dog Records. The first single, "American Ride", is currently No. 1. Now Toby is heading of to Europe for 9 scheduled shows. A lot of country artist are stepping out over there this past year, good to see its spreading! After those dates Toby will be performing at the Nobel Peace Prize concert taking place Dec. 11 in Oslo, Norway.

- Also in new music yesterday was Luke Bryan with "Doin' My Thing" which includes the hit, "Do I", as well as a cover of One Republic's "Apologize." Rosanne Cash with "The List" includes selections from a list of 100 essential country songs given to her by her father, the late Johnny Cash, when she was 18.

- Gretchen Wilson has launched own record label, Redneck Records, based near Nashville. Her first single for the label is titled, "Work Hard, Play Harder," and was written by Wilson, John Rich and Vicky McGehee and will be delivered to country radio later this month. As president of the independent label, Wilson will oversee virtually all of the company's operations. the Label is a Division of Sony, which is the same label that dropped Wilson earlier this year.

Taylor Swift has moved from her parents lakeside abode in Hendersonville, Tenn., to her own place near downtown Nashville. She now calls the penthouse of a trendy condo home. She told Ryan Seacrest this past weekend during an interview that, "I'm going to put a tree house in my living room, I haven't figured out how but it's two stories so I will make it fit". Ummm always a child at heart, I Guess!

Country Artist Doing Good

Dierks Bentley is offering a free download of the inspirational song, "Beautiful World," to raise awareness about his Miles & Music for Kids fundraisers to benefit local hospitals in the Children's Miracle Network. The Nashville event is set for Oct. 11 and includes a concert at Riverfront Park featuring Dierks and labelmates Eric Church and Darius Rucker, along with Wynonna, Heidi Newfield and Michelle Branch. Dierks has scheduled these motorcycle rides and concerts in five other cities in 2009 and 2010.

Lastly Carrie Underwood, Terri Clark, Jo Dee Messina, Lorrie Morgan and Mindy Smith and Robin Roberts, a breast cancer survivor who co-anchors ABC's Good Morning America served as a guest announcer were among those raising the awareness of breast cancer during the "Opry Goes Pink" night at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. Commemorating breast cancer awareness month, the Opry's signature barn backdrop took on a pink hue when Underwood flipped the switch at this past Friday's performance. A portion of the Opry's proceeds were donated to Women Rock for the Cure and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Underwood said the Opry performance provided the perfect opportunity to spread the message.

"People are going to be here anyway, some people may not even know that we're turning the Opry pink. They might be out there and learn something new."

"There are a lot of people out there who have been fighters and who have made it through cancer, but there are a lot of us who don't want to have to go through that fight. Of course, nobody wants to, but we want to make sure that doesn't happen, so we're honoring the people who have been through it and who have made it through it. We're supporting them, we're raising awareness and we're hoping to stop it in its tracks."
